Sister societies

Artists and successors that register with RRA belong to a global community that can benefit from resale royalties around the world.

RRA is now partnering with sister agencies overseas to determine artist eligibility for overseas resale royalties, and to ensure collection and payment of any overseas royalties due to New Zealand artists and successors. 

This means artists and successors may be eligible to receive a resale royalty from countries that operate a similar scheme, currently The United Kingdom and Australia.

Artists and successors that reside or domicile in Aotearoa – New Zealand will be included in our service to manage overseas royalties in accordance with our Distribution Policy

Countries with reciprocal agreements

Australia and the United Kingdom have been specified as reciprocating countries by the New Zealand government effective from December 1st 2024. RRA are currently in discussions to complete reciprocal agreements with the collecting societies in these territories.

RRA are in the process of developing relationships with sister societies globally. The section below lists sister societies and networks we are currently working with.
